Exploring the Future of Work: Socio-Economic Disparities and Entrepreneurial Ingenuity
--
From June 22nd to June 23rd, Kenyatta University hosted its 5th International Business Research & Industrial Conference, focusing on Strategic Business Innovations and Policy. In the session on Financial and Business Management Reinvention for Economic Recovery, Medgar Evers College, CUNY Professor Micah Crump and I had the privilege of unveiling our forthcoming book, “Socio-Economic Disparities, Vulnerable Communities, and the Future of Work.” The virtual presentation shed light on two chapters that addressed real-world problems and evolving solutions for transforming the world of work.
The Uncharted Terrains of Work Transformation:
The current era is witnessing unprecedented changes and increasing globalization, leading to transformative shifts in the economic landscape. Sectors are being redefined, and new modes of engagement and work are emerging. In our compendium, “Socio-Economic Disparities, Vulnerable Communities, and the Future of Work,” we embark on a scholarly expedition to explore these uncharted terrains of metamorphosis.
The Intersection of Socio-Economic Disparities, Vulnerable Communities, and the Future of Work:
Our contributors delve into the intricate intersection between socio-economic disparities, the challenges faced by vulnerable communities, and the evolving future of work. Through rigorous analysis, groundbreaking research, and innovative insights, they shed light on the struggles and opportunities that lie ahead in a rapidly changing labor market.
Empowering Marginalized Communities through Entrepreneurship:
At the heart of our work is the exploration of entrepreneurship as a tool for economic empowerment and social mobility, particularly within marginalized communities. Our authors share profound narratives of entrepreneurial ingenuity and resilience, spanning across diverse socio-cultural contexts. These narratives illuminate the role of entrepreneurship in breaking social stigmas, promoting inclusivity, and fostering economic growth, from the rural mountains to the urban environments.
