Miss Arlette

If you have never been to a Caribbean baby shower, then you don’t know what you are missing. Arlette is a 2020 Medgar Evers College, City of New York graduate who missed her graduation ceremony — what she did not miss was the celebration of new life with family and friends at what may be deemed as a gathering of joy in the midst of the pandemic calamity.

The late afternoon (into the night) baby shower started with photos with the guest of honor. Arlette and her family are from the island of Tobago — but for this special themed celebration, everyone was dressed in stylish African designs. Arlette welcomed her guests from the royal chair.

There were photos with her friends and family. There were photos with her mom.
